Old Market Sourdough began as wishful thinking. Imagine a quiet evening with good friends, good wine, good cheese and .... well,
mediocre bread. Founders, Rich and Patti Hannan and Tom and Pam Brown believed it was possible to bake a wonderful, crusty, aromatic sourdough bread in the midwest. When they teamed up with artisan baker, Robert Pezdirtz in December 2005, the dream became a reality. The demand for Robert's bread had increased to the point that he outgrew his digs and his equipment. The new bakery at 6710 L Street was opened in June of 2006.

Our mission is to create the quality bread that the Omaha Metro Area craves and deserves. We are local, authentic, classical bakers. We have perfected the art of bread baking using three natural ingredients: organic flour, filtered water and sea salt.
